African Voices Forum interacted with over 200 young people of African-Caribbean descent at the University of West England during their 2023/2024 academic years freshers’ fair. The fair spanned for 2 days from the 27th to 28th September 2023 at the UWE Campus.

This move of participating in the event was to recruit these young men and women to be part of the YoungLegacies group a project by the African Voices Forum to mobilize young people of African-Caribbean origin, to inspire, motivate and empower them to achieving their desired goals and dreams despite the setbacks and detractions the society they find themselves present.

The event was remarkably successful, and the volunteers who engaged and interacted with the many young African-Caribbean who had gained admission to study diverse programmes at the UWE were able to recruit over 100 new members to the YoungLegacies Programme.
