African Voices Forum participated in the first-of-its-kind festival for Bristol and the South West, Diaspora Festival. The Festival was developed, produced and presented by the Diverse Artists Network, the inaugural festival showcased and reflected the wide variety of talent from the region’s underrepresented diasporas.
African voices forum were hugely represented and organised an African-traditional costume/fashion show. Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroun and the Jamaica were on the runway to showcase their authentic and unique traditional costumes thrilling the audiences gathered at the venue. AVF also had a hall of fame that had biographies of unsung African and African-American Heroes and heroines to educate and enlighten audiences about Africa’s history and socio-political and economic contributions to the development of the world.
